MLK Day Camp

- Price: $150 per camper, paid at signup.
- You can sign up more than one child at once.
- Lunch: bring a packed lunch, or order a hot lunch from our menu at drop-off (charged afterward).
- Aftercare: pickup is 3:00–3:15 PM. Campers picked up later stay in aftercare until 4:15 PM for a flat $30, charged afterward. No need to sign up.
About Forge Day Camps
Every Forge day camp is a full day of building in our makerspace — real tools, real materials, real safety gear, the same way our year-round students work. This isn't a screens-and-worksheets day; it's a hands-on build day.
Each camp day runs several different engineering projects, and every camper builds the one they choose. By pickup, every camper has finished a real project and takes it home that afternoon. No experience is needed, each project is mapped to its age range. Campers spend the day making something real, not sitting and watching.
Choosing a Project
You can pick your camper's project at checkout, or leave it for later — we'll email you the project list before the camp date so you can choose then. Spots on each project are limited and filled in the order they're claimed, so choosing early gives you the widest selection. If you haven't chosen by the morning of camp, we'll help your camper pick from whatever is still open at drop-off.
Important Camp Details
- Drop-off: 8:30–9:00 AM
- Pick-up: 3:00–3:15 PM
- Aftercare: Available until 4:15 PM
Campers not picked up by 3:15 PM are automatically charged a flat $30 aftercare fee. There's nothing to sign up for — the charge is simply added afterward.
Eligibility
Day camps are open to campers in 1st through 8th grade.
Lunch
Students may bring a packed lunch or order a hot lunch, which we order and provide from a local cafe. There's no need to sign up for lunch in advance — we take hot lunch orders from our menu at drop-off each morning and add the charge afterward.
Daily Schedule
- Work Block 1: 9:15 AM – 10:30 AM
- Snack Time: 10:30 AM
- Park & Lunch: Leave Forge at 12:00 PM for lunch and outdoor play
- Return to Forge: 1:20 PM
- Work Block 2: 1:20 – 2:50 PM
- Cleanup: 2:50 PM
- Pickup Window: 3:00 – 3:15 PM
- Aftercare / Open Makerspace: 3:00 – 4:15 PM
Other Things To Know — Day Camps
Cancellations with a full refund (minus a 3% credit card fee) or transfers to another day-camp date (space permitting) are available up to 7 days before the camp date. If your camper is sick on the day of camp with a doctor's note, we'll credit 50% of the day. No other credits or refunds are issued for missed days.
Everything a camper builds is theirs to take home. We provide all tools, materials, and safety gear.
Cancellation policy
7 or more days before the camp date
- Cancel for a full refund, minus a 3% credit card processing fee.
- Or transfer to a different day-camp date at no charge, space permitting.
Fewer than 7 days before the camp date
- No refunds or transfers.
If your camper is sick on the day of camp
- Send us a doctor's note and we'll credit 50% of the day toward a future camp.
Missed days
- No other credits or refunds are issued for missed days, late arrivals, or early pickups.
